Having trained under a Labour government 20 years ago, where skills, creativity and innovation were at the heart of the curriculum, this fills me with joy......a life before Ebaac, P8, and all other out of context progress metrics
We've reset the relationship between government and the workforce, to make teaching a go-to profession and improve children's life chances: ✅ A fully-funded pay rise above inflation ✅ Reducing workload ✅ More flexible working ✅ Education back at the heart of national life

Perhaps this is a silly question... @bphillipsonMP has made such a strong and structured start as #education secretary, showing a real drive and commitment to our profession. So, why couldn't our previous government have done this?

Schools who had cut back or even scrapped creative subjects to play the P8/Ebacc game will hopefully realise the shortcomings of their morally wrong decision making after this review.
