Opened in 1976, it chronicles the history of the sport of drag racing. The museum is home to drag racing cars, memorabilia, and photographs.

We have new items in the Gift Shop. The first, is a Set of 4 Round Absorbent Coasters. The second, is a Jet Flameless Lighter. The coasters are available online. The lighter, due to shipping restrictions, is not available online.

Yesterday at @zMAXDragway @NHRA presented Don with a replica of the first NHRA Top Fuel trophy which was awarded to Don in 1963. The original trophy was destroyed when a tornado hit Don & Pats house in Tampa in 1966.

We are now in the process of preparing for the 38th Annual Mopars with Big Daddy which will be held November 1st & 2nd. October 31st will be the Friday Night Dinner Q&A with Don. The dinner and Q&A is presented by Phillips Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Ocala.

The museum will be open Christmas Eve 9am-5pm. Closed Christmas Day and will reopen 12/26/2024. The museum will be open both New Year's Eve & New Year's Day 9am-5pm.

Don has scheduled a tour for Friday January 10th at 10AM. Don takes you behind the scenes into the garages and talks about his history, the history of the museum and the sport. The cost is 100.00 per person and spots are limited.

With Hurricane Milton approaching and landfall expected Wednesday as a Category 3 hurricane the museum will be closed Wednesday & Thursday. We will reopen on Friday October 11th.
