Personally I wouldn’t call the challengers stage a qualifier, the rmr is the major qualifier at least in recent system. Challengers stage is still part of the major and they’re in the capsule. Idk maybe I’m missing something. They shouldn’t be near top 10 tho.

So the first stage of the Major that’s played on lan isn’t a tier 1 event ? Ill give you that the challenger stage used to have different terminology but it’s still on location and the top 24 teams (who’ve already qualified via rmr) so to not call it tier 1 is a bit absurd.

As someone who’s played both (cs way more) valo isn’t the same game it was at launch, sure it started as a vague cs clone but over time it’s moved into its own thing. Its execute heavy now with emphasis on agent select, strays further from being a traditional shooter every patch.
