Our cafes at Kettle’s Yard and on Mill Road will be closed this week due to staff needing to self isolate. GK at Kettle’s Yard will be open at the weekend in time for the new exhibition. Our cafe @CUBotanicGarden will remain open but with a slightly reduced menu.

Of course we still need access, businesses , customers and residents will need to drive down the street. But speeding traffic could be replaced with parklets, cycle parking, trees and benches. I think it’s a great idea, and would be an amazing future for Mill Road. (Andrew)

With careful planning Mill Road could become a real destination in the city. Bringing more customers from the city centre and creating a real buzz for the area and all the local businesses.

Really excited to hear the proposals being discussed by @MillRoad4People for improvements to Mill Road. I like the idea of making the bridge accessible for businesses making local deliveries and adding loading bays to keep vans off the pavements.

So many scandals swishing around Johnson, but don’t forget this one. He didn’t target Covid at the borders, instead he targeted refugees. The result was a calamity. Watch and share.

This is Mr Cooper. Tomorrow he will close the doors of his Newmarket Rd shop for the final time. He had tears in his eyes as he told me about the shop’s long history. Surely there’s a story there? @Cambslive @IndieCamb @CambridgeIndy @acambridgediary @BBCCambs
