This week the Meats Evaluation Team competed in the State FFA Competition. They were a brand new team who put in many hours of practice. Their hard work did not go unnoticed. Job well done girls!

Gallatin EMS Students Learn From the Best! Firefighters from GFD visited our EMS/EMR class. They worked with students to practice lifting and moving patients. Students got hands-on experience with the stair chair, scoop stretcher, learning how to log roll, and how to use a KED!

Our Advanced Manufacturing students partnered with the Gallatin Economic Development Agency to create ornaments to be displayed on a Christmas tree in the Gallatin City Hall. The students used 3D printers and the Glowforge machine to create these ornaments. @ExploreGallatin

Students in our Criminal Justice 4 class recently completed their Corrections Officer training course and were recognized at a ceremony hosted by the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. Congratulations to these students who will be job ready after graduation. #careerready

UPDATE: We apologize for the confusion. Mr. HOSIER has talked to admistration, who misunderstood his intentions, & he has let us know that he will CONTINUE as Voice of the Green Wave. We are overjoyed that he is continuing in that role, & we again apologize. 2026 will be year 52.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Thursday night is our last regular season home game. It is also the last game for Rob Hosier to serve as the Voice of the Green Wave. Please come out and join us in closing out a legendary career.

Last week was an eventful week in CTE: 1. Two DECA students made a presentation at Chamber luncheon. 2. HOSA students finished clinicals at HighPoint Health before sitting for their certification exam. 3 & 4. Culinary Arts I students had a Cook Off to showcase their skills.

Students, we will have companies and businesses on site to hire you. Hire you for the summer. Hire you for your first job after graduation. Be prepared for interviews while you are there. If you have questions, come to the CTE office for information.

Great experience today with our Teaching as a Profession (TAP) program holding a “Signing Ceremony” for our future educators today. Support from previous teachers, from families, and from mentor teachers today made a special event. #GWP
