A lack of transparency makes it nearly impossible to conduct a "postmortem" when these systems cause self driving cars to crash or cripple websites that have integrated AI tools. Or, at least it used to! Check out their piece here: @gtcomputing.

From the article: "AI systems can malfunction due to technical design flaws or biased training data. They can also suffer from vulnerabilities in their code, which can be exploited by malicious hackers. Isolating the cause of an AI failure is imperative for fixing the system.".

Yibin Yang is another cryptographer advised by Professor Vladimir Kolesnikov who also has made impressive contributions to the field. According to his advisor, Yibin has improved his area of cryptography by three to four orders of magnitude!.

Stan Peceny is a cryptographer who designed several core MPC algorithms and integrated them into fast tool chains, improving state of the art up to 1000x! Professor Vladimir Kolesnikov, his advisor, said he is very proud of Stan and his research! .

Zhengxian He is a researcher who started his Ph.D. at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was advised by Professor Mustaque Ahamad and he collaborated with industry partners during his time at Georgia Tech. Zhengxian now works at Amazon!.

Ammar Askar is an accomplished researcher and hacker advised by Professor Taesoo Kim. He helped develop a LLM-based concolic execution engine for the upcoming @DARPA #AIxCC challenge for @TeamAtlanta24 .
