Thus, adolescents with high narcissistic personality traits present themselves more often in a positive way online and are more strongly attached to their peers. However, increases in narcissism were found to only be related to increases in appearance-related self-posts. (7/7).

Results: at the between-person level, narcissism was positively related to positive online self-presentations and peer attachment. Adolescents with higher trait-levels of narcissism, thus present themselves more often positively on social media and vice versa. (5/7).
