What a great inspiration! As a high school teacher myself, hopefully your story will continue to inspire others to overcome obstacles and reach their goals, whether it is in medicine or something else where they can make a difference.
My high school surprised me. They renamed the student center. Students will now visit the 'Velasquez Student Center' when they seek academic support and college guidance. I couldn't contain my emotions b/c when I started high school, I didn't think I could go to college. 1/x
