The Sharks hold the record for the most norms achieved in @4NCL. We have already signed two very talented juniors. We are looking for a few more norm seekers for next season. The entire team supports these players.

Lots of people talked about the age of the 2 strong grandmasters at the weekend @ecfchess. People did not talk about the fact that Peter runs his own small business hiring 10s of people. Playing chess to that level whilst not only working but running a business is unbelivable.

The GOAT of British Chess wins the British. A dream tournament for organisers. 2 Veterans in the playoffs proving age is a number. One of the nicest players makes his first appearance and loads of norms and titles for the likes of Supratit and Shearsby. Well done @ecfchess.

One thing you've got to admit is that juniors like Banerjee and Royal are having epic tournaments. Great to see Coventry's Jude Shearsby get FM. Believe he is in state school like many of the Sharks were. Well done to his parents and Paul Lam whom invested a lot @ecfchess
