Coils and plugs require time-consuming and unreliable clot formation to create a full occlusion. In a fully heparinized preclinical model, #ULTRAembolic demonstrated immediate occlusion of the GDA delivered behind a vascular plug. #embolization #interventionalradiology

After just 7-days in a pre-clinical model, vessels embolized with 2.5mm gelatin foam cubes showed complete recanalization, whereas vessels embolized with the ULTRA™ Embolic Device showed stable occlusion. A stable occlusion is key to preventing rebleeding after #embolization.
