GP Tennis took a tough loss to a very solid Nederland team today. We played our best tennis yet, grinding to the end finishing the regular season as the 3rd spot in our district heading into playoffs. This makes it 3 years in a row making the state bracket & our best finish yet!
GPHS Tennis has finished their regular season after taking down Marshall and placing 2nd in District 19-5A. Our Tennis team starts round one of playoffs next week against Lamar Consolidated.

GP Golfer, Victoria Guerrero, finished 1st place overall and won the Gold Medal and title of Tournament Champion. The girls combined score was also good enough to win 1st Place Team and retain the title of Team Champions. Great job girls!

Our GP Girls Golf finished as the 1st Place Team out of the 8 participating schools yesterday. Team Members are Samantha Chavez, Victoria Guerrero, Martha Hernandez, Yoleidy Morales and Savannah Ortega. Martha Hernandez finished 2nd place overall to bring home the Silver Medal.

Our FFA Livestock judging team went to the Ford Bend Livestock Judging contest this morning. Alyssa was 6th high individual & the team placed 7th out of 41!
Congratulations to Jazlynn for finishing 3rd, Sarah 6th, America 7th, Robert 12th, and Arely 15th in their race. They all qualified to receive Medals which were only awarded to the top 15 finishers.
Our Cross Country team participated in the Pasadena Memorial Cross Country meet this morning. Our JV team won 3rd place overall. Abigail Esqueda and America Zuniga finished in the top 20 and both received medals.

Our FFA members competed in the Lake Houston District Speaking Development Events. Giuliani placed 1st in Senior Prepared Speaking for Ag Policy. Majorie placed 5th in Senior Prepared Animal Science. Congratulations to both of our students and their teachers!

On January 12th, Galena Park had their top 5 Spanish spellers participate in the District Spanish Spelling Bee. Pablo Rodríguez (9th grade), placed in 2nd place. A huge congratulations to him and to all of our participants who displayed such an awesome performance yesterday.

GPHS Beginner Tennis Squad competed in the Dayton Beginner Bronco Bash and placed in different brackets. We brought back 1st Place in Boys Singles medals and 3rd Place in Girls singles medals!

Our Culinary Arts students served baked potatoes at the JC/GP Rotary meeting today. They also decorated cakes for the annual cake auction! Check out their cool cakes.
Our GPHS Cross Country team competed at Dobie High School yesterday. Jazlynn finished 5th out of 189 runners on varsity & Sarah finished 13th out 327 runners on JV. They both finished in the top 20 and earned a medal.
Today, our GP Boys shot a 36, on 9 holes, to capture 1st place team and come home with a beautiful plaque. GP Golfer, Fernando Macias, earned the MVP award and brought home a medallion for his efforts. Great day for GP Golf!
