Our law enforcement associates learn hands-on skills in addition to internships. Srgt. Jeremy Wilson at Taney County Sheriff's Office taught associates how to properly handcuff a suspect. When Kaivyn asked what happens when a suspect tries to fight back, he learned firsthand!

Education associates just wrapped up their very first teaching practicum where they spent 3 weeks in a classroom of choice assisting their mentor teacher with many different aspects of teaching. Everyone agreed that their favorite part was the students and helping them learn!

Our new law enforcement strand toured @mshptrooper Troop D learning about dispatch, criminal investigations & polygraph testing, patrol, & SWAT. Next, we toured @druryuniversity Law Enforcement Academy seeing the current class in action & learning how to use OC spray & tasers!

Our education associates had so much fun last week touring Cedar Ridge Primary, Cedar Ridge Elementary, Cedar Ridge Intermediate, and Branson Junior High engaging with students and learning about stages of child development! ❤️🏫 @bransonschools

Associates just wrapped up a design sprint with Marietta Hagan, P.C. for Health Improvement at Cox Health. Their challenge was to develop prevention strategies to reduce youth suicide in our area. Excited to learn how students can partner with local coalitions to make an impact!

Associates had the opportunity to uncover their talents & dig into areas of strength through the Clifton Strengths assessment facilitated by @mdawsonco @bransonschools. This is instrumental as students explore future careers & collaborate to solve real-world problems.

Associates honed their interview skills as they engaged in mock interviews with students @CofOHardWorkU, facilitated by Dr. Emily Emery. Associates loved this experience with near peers as they practiced answering behavioral interview questions & were given immediate feedback.

Thank you to Jim Freeman, Director of the Vanek Center @CofOHardWorkU, for leading resume & interview workshops with interactive sessions for Ss to identify top values & skills for their resumes. Ss sat in the 'hot seat' to practice behavioral interview questions with feedback.

Special thanks to our workforce development panelists who answered student questions with insight into their fields & gave advice on how to grow as leaders. Ss learned valuable communication skills around in-depth questions & effective feedback. A huge shout-out to our partners!
