Wow — my paper from 10 years ago, one of the first to use Google Street View for urban forestry, just reached 1,000 citations! Hard to believe such a specific, non-review paper on a niche topic could have this kind of impact. Grateful and amazed. 🌳 #UrbanForestry #StreetView

When you are blocked by falling trees, you tried to use chainsaw to cut through. Then found still several more fallen trees ahead.

Our recently published paper uses #GeoAI to generate the highest resolution #albedo map ever in major US cities. This will help us to better understand the urban thermal environment and provide a reference for urban heat management. https://t.co/ZivtAatxKV

Heat map is available on @neighborfacts mobile app now. I will try to add hyperlocal level heat info there, also more climate hazards information.
Neighborhood Facts have new layer included. We have the neighborhood heat information in US. We will have 1m resolution heat information in near future. Thanks to @GIS_jiang for making it possible. Thank you for your subscription and support.

Using meter-resolution urban 3D model from @Microsoft Planetary Computer, I don't need to spend a huge amount of time on downloading and processing LiDAR data from @USGS locally using tools like PDAL @pointcloudpipe
It is amazing to see meter-level resolution digital surface model can be easily accessed on @Microsoft Planetary Computer. You don't need to download the LiDAR from @USGS and process them locally, which takes a loooong time.
