As we head into Christmas/Holiday Break, the team stands at 9 - 3, and is looking forward to our Girls and JV wrestlers competing at Godwin on 12/29, and then Varsity returning to the mats on 1/10 up at Orange HS. -A well earned break for the team.

GHS Wrestling defeated Waynesboro 63-13, and then James River 60-18. Earning their 1st ever HS wins were Danny Heyworth and Drew Butler. Also earning wins were Brendan Rook, Jackson Warren, Justin Stapleton, Ethan Winter, Cannen Harlow, Patrick Harlow, and Kamari James.

Saturday Wrestling Results - Goochland Girls: Addison Bryce each wrestled multiple matches today, and then Laura Castano (1st) and Kendra Martinez (2nd) each medaled in their respective weight classes. Laura went 2-0 on the day, while Kendra went 3-1 (at Louisa's Girls' tourney)

Saturday Wrestling Results (at Deep Run/ Richmond Invitational): Parick Harlow earns 2nd place (going 3-1) while our other Saturday qualifiers looked good as well (Camron Hardy, Nick Daniel, Sam Mundt, and JT Laster all went 3-2, while Cannen Harlow went 2-2). Proud of you all!

At the end of week 2, Goochland Wrestling stands at 47 on the high school team, and 26+ on the middle school squad. These young men and women have been going strong and should be proud, but the season is still just beginning. ...Good things coming through hard work.
