It’s #WomensEqualityDay, but let’s be clear: The 19th Amendment didn’t mean equality for all women. And “equality” still leaves many behind. At GGE, we fight for justice that centers Black girls + gender-expansive youth. Equality isn’t enough. Liberation is the goal.

The 19th Amendment didn’t guarantee voting rights for Black women or many women of color. We honor the Black suffragists + freedom fighters who knew: Liberation goes beyond the ballot. The fight continues. #19thAmendment #VotingRights #TrustBlackGirls #GGE

Black women still make just 66¢ to every $1 paid to white men. Today, on #BlackWomensEqualPayDay, we demand more than equal pay; we demand economic justice. At GGE, we’re building a future where Black girls + gender-expansive youth are paid, protected, and valued.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved Black people in Texas were finally freed—marking the day we now honor as #Juneteenth. Today, we remember, we celebrate, and we continue the fight for true freedom. ❤️💚🖤 #BlackLiberation #GGENYC Source: Alexandra Wimley / Post-Gazette

Suspensions don’t solve behavior issues—they push students out of school and into the justice system. We demand restorative solutions. #SolutionsNotSuspensionsNY #EndSchoolPushout

📚 Thank you @SenatorRJackson and @SolagesNY for championing #SNS and fighting for students. We need this bill to make the needed changes to school climate and make learning accessible for all.
