Deputy Director of NGA Tonya Wilkerson described how NGA's Strategic Objective 5 transforms NGA's efforts to improve its acquisition tradecraft, making it more mutually beneficial for NGA, industry and service providers. The goal is to accelerate NGA's access to new technology.

Tim Clayton, Director, Acquisition Oversight, Office of the Component Acquisition Executive, NGA at #GEOINT2023's Government Hub, promoted the new Program Executive Office structure as a game changer in how Acquisitions communicates NGA's budget request to Congress more clearly.

Howard Pierce, Ph.D., Chief, IT & Mission Support Office of Contract Services, NGA described numerous acquisition methods through which vendors do business with NGA expeditiously and effectively.

Mark Munsell, Director, Data and Digital Innovation, @NGA_GEOINT spoke at #GEOINT2023 about "NGA's Way of AI" and challenged the industry, "If you think you're good and you have something special in AI, this is your opportunity to engage with NGA. We've set the bar very high."

USGIF VP of Programs Christy Monaco wraps up the #GEOINT2023 by summarizing, "We've been given critical priorities from the highest levels of the IC. Now it is up to us to step up and deliver what they need and do our part to protect national security."

After a deep dive into the GEOINT applications within the civilian sector, Dr. Applegate, Director of the USGS, highlighted the theme of integration among the GEOINT community for applications in every facet of civilian life, savings lives on a local and global scale.

Our final Main Stage keynote of #GEOINT2023 is David Applegate, Ph.D., the Director of the @USGS. Dr. Applegate talks about the essential role of GEOINT to the USGS in environmental and public safety decision-making on a national scale.

Speaking on partnerships at #GEOINT2023, LTG Scott Berrier, USA, said, "DIA is doubling down on our partnerships within the IC and with the industry. These collaborations set the IC apart from our adversaries, and close leadership relationships give us an asymmetric advantage."

Continuing our Wednesday #GEOINT2023 Main Stage lineup is a keynote from the Director of @DefenseIntel, LTG Scott Berrier, USA. Discussing how the defense intelligence enterprise relies upon GEOINT & how our industry enriches DIA's collection and all-source foundational efforts.

Hon. John Sherman, DoD CIO, discussed zero-trust policies and how to work around them. "By 2027, we will be able to define how machines and users can access the information they need while preventing adversaries from moving laterally through our systems to access critical data."

The Hon. John Sherman, DoD CIO, spoke on the importance of innovating to keep our adversaries at bay. "Our job is to have our adversaries wake up and say not today--not today will they wake up and instigate, intimidate, or attack our global forces and allies."
