The next GCISD Standard Response Protocol we are reviewing is ‘Hold.’ This protocol is called when the hallways need to be kept clear, even during class changes. Students & staff remain in the classroom & continue business as usual until an all-clear is announced.

Last night, Trustees recognized the @CTMSWolfWay MisGnomers team for earning the Renaissance Award at the Destination Imagination Global Finals. Also celebrated was the @CHPantherPride Honor Band, which placed fifth at the state competition, the highest in school history!

An update was presented at the July regular meeting that covers work at the GCISD Swim Center, Colleyville Heritage High School, Colleyville Elementary, Heritage Elementary, Cross Timbers Middle School and the Transportation Department.

For example, a 'secure' status is enacted when there is a threat or hazard outside of the school building. Students and staff will return inside the building and continue business as usual. Exterior doors will be locked, and visitors will not be granted access to the school.

Grapevine Colleyville’s FFA (Future Farmers of America) hosted its kickoff meeting of the school year yesterday at Nash Farm. Students from grades 3-12 had a blast getting to meet new friends, see animals, and learn about the @GCISD_CTE Agricultural and Animal Science programs.

The first Gold Card meeting of the school year for GCISD residents 65+ is tomorrow at 9 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, at the Admin. Building. The Gold Card grants free admission to GCISD fine arts & athletic (excluding playoffs) events. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check-in.
