Low Traffic Neighbourhoods rely for their success on the removal of through motor traffic - but what are the best ways of achieving that?

It’s worth watching this @BicycleDutch video of a new ‘fast' cycle route in the Netherlands, as it demonstrates how these routes are “just” upgrades of existing cycling infrastructure that was already of a good standard -
