Regular and open dialogue at all levels is key to diplomatic ties. Pleased to have welcomed Executive Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu in Ottawa and to see the renewal of this bilateral scholarship program.
Deputy Minister Morrison and his Chinese counterpart, Executive Vice Minister Ma Zhaoxu, yesterday renewed the Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss challenges and advance constructive dialogue on a range of Canadian interests.

While in #Tokyo, I met with counterparts at @MofaJapan_en and @METI_JPN – key partners in implementing Canada's #IndoPacificStrategy. I also spoke with incoming President of @ADBInstitute, Mr. Masato Kanda, about Canada’s support to advance sustainable development.
