This man has a 0-3 L on his resume to NZ. What are we supposed to learn?

Never disrespect cricket.

This is mostly false and only a tiny bit true. Kohli has an unmatched adulation from the masses. The disrespect only comes from a loud minority on social media who make stupid comparisons. If you ignore some of these groups, Kohli is the most universally loved cricketer.
He would be respected way way wayyyyyyyy higher if he played for any other country other than India. And I will stand by this. Forever.

India will still win most likely but the combination of ridiculously early declaration and and pointless enforcing if follow on especially after WI batted a good amount of overs has allowed WI into the game. Fake macho aggression from the management in both tests.
Need WI to make 319 somehow. The declaration was way too early and it'll be fun to watch India bat again for a quick 200 odd.

Thank you to Kohli for not sacrificing wicket so that we could actually win the match.

Gill is probably the best ODI batter in the world and will only get better. He is the correct choice. The Iyer justice gimmicks are absolutely laughable. Kohli is not similar at all. He's younger, fitter, has a more robust game and all replacements will be worse even in 2027.
This is a garbage comparison. Rohit can play if he keeps performing but all hate being put aside I don't think he will. He has looked ragged against quality pace for a decent period of time now and he cannot bat outside the powerplay. Guaranteed disaster in SA.

#RohitSharma will be 40 in 2027, same as Imran Khan in 1992; selectors shouldnโt have fast-tracked Shubman Gill, writes Sandeep Dwivedi in his weekly sports column https://t.co/bFWICItMQ5

It was very reminiscent of this run out from the Chinnaswamy 2013 ODI. Gill today and Rohit here are clearly at fault for ball watching. Both would have been comfortable singles if the non striker responded. Kohli and Jaiswal were both almost able to complete 2.
This "it was his call" business being used to excuse absolutely moronic judgements shouldn't be happening. Jaiswal has an awful habit of hitting the ball straight to the fielder and taking off. Have seen it cause his own downfall before.

Jaiswal can cross Raina. Yuvraj probably too far.

India need to make 600+ here if possible. Bat once and bat big instead of fake macho declarations like last game.

McGrath 2007 of batting campaigns.
We failed to hype this Goated campaign enough. Kohli fans should hype 765 more. He scored 765 in the biggest stage with 171 runs in knockouts. No one is coming close to 765 in the near future. Greatest WC campaign. Funny how he's not getting much hype for this campaign.

Might be the funniest Cricinfo comment ever with hindsight.
