That depends. Timelines can branch, have some event happen differently, but it's still how that branch is meant to go. Anomalies would be an outsider making something that shouldn't happen do, like that one time Fu brought an army of Janemba in a branch of 2015-Super.

Oh, uh, organisation that works outside of time, protecting the timelines from anomalies, yaddi yadda. Not super interesting, but you don't get stronger foes than those threatening the multiverse, so... It works.
