For too long I was compartmentalizing parts of myself. Comet began as an underground, kind of secret OC...but the truth is their personality is pretty much who I see myself as in the fandom, and they are more reflective of my non-binary identity. I'm proud to be a deer! 🦌

For YEARS I've had 2 fursonas, and it's been incredibly confusing for myself and others. I think it's officially time to retire Ash the Eagle, because when I think of myself as a furry, I no longer identify with them as my main. I am Comet the Deer going forward!

I help teach a documentary film class to high school students in Colorado every summer. And EVERY year someone confuses me for one of the students. After appearing on camera for these mock interviews…I finally understand why. I really do look young. I’m 35 😳
