In Glasgow today to see Frank Wildhornâs Bonnie & Clyde on tour. Hoping that the recent success of the West End production will be replicated tonight. Will be in the front row ducking the bullets!

Just back from tonightâs enjoyable concert in Nottingham with @LouiseDearman and the International Film Orchestra supported by the local university choir. Full of musical theatre favourites, Louise sang with the power and versatility of a true West End leading lady. Great concert

Saw Scottish Operaâs Barber of Seville at Edinburgh Festival Theatre last night. Loved the production and in particular was blown away by the Canadian mezzo soprano Simone McIntosh as Rosina. Such vocal dexterity, quality of tone and sense of fun makes me want to see her again.

Excellent production of Yeomen of the Guard this afternoon at Buxton. The whole cast of @GSoperaco were on top form especially @matthewsiveter1 and @meriel_mezzo. Loved the traditional feel of the direction by Simon Butteris - no gimmicks, just G& S at their best.

Brief visit to Sheffield Crucible to see new production of Miss Saigon. Very clear exposition of the story and overall good singing from a decent cast. Particularly impressed by Kim and Joanna Ampil as a female Engineer had a whale of a time. 4.5 stars.

Saw Gypsy @PITLOCHRYft this afternoon. Stunning performance by @singinghaggis as Mama Rose. Every line delivered with clarity and conviction and vocals excellent. Some good things about whole cast and production and worth a visit to Perthshire.

Another visit to Edinburgh Festival Theatre tonight for Titanic the Musical. Mixed feelings given the current situation with the lost submersible Titan. Thoughts with all affected.

Went to lovely final concert of Melrose Music Festival tonight and was not disappointed. A varied programme of opera, musicals, G&S was performed with panache by @sopranomorwood @SionedGwen and #JeromeKnox. Will definitely try to search out this trio in the future. Well done all.

Very pleased to discover on arrival in Melrose that @SionedGwen is one of the singers tonight. Looking forward to hearing her in a concert setting and also to discovering @sopranomorwood for the first time.

Huge congratulations to @bethtaylormezzo for making the final of Cardiff Singer. I was blown away by her Round 4 performance- the expression âgieinâ it laldyâ came to mind. All the best for Sunday, Beth!

Was lucky to have witnessed one of @ScottishOperaâs finest productions yesterday @captheatres. Il Trittico was beautifully performed and fully captured the heart of each opera. The principal soloists were uniformly excellent. Best production in years and worth the critical praise

Toi x 3 to @EllenAngharad ahead of her concert at Cadogan Hall tomorrow. I hope all goes well without any transport problems. Would love to hear what you sang - a cheeky duet with Mr Ball perhaps? (Youâre prettier than a certain Mr Boe anyway lol)
