Tonight we start the wind down of PARDON THE EXPRESSION. Tonight's episodes are "The Ghost of Batsworth Castle Walks Again" & "The Sailor Home from the Sea" and I am happy to see that there has been, in my opinion, a marked improvement over quality of the series over the last

Tonight, more PARDON THE EXPRESSION with "A Sheikh in the Night" & "Rustle of Spring" with the latter giving us the second pre-DAD'S ARMY pairing of the week with John Laurie in the cast tonight. The first was with John Le Mesurier in "The Take-Over Bid". Also, Wendy Richard

Radio Times Wednesday: ADVENTURE STORY from June of 1961. Some VERY familiar faces. I just finished a #JamesBond marathon so it's always cool to see Sean Connery before breaking into total stardom!  Plus a young Margaretta Scott (minus Tricki-Woo) and William Russell. #RadioTimes

This week, I return to the viewing of my regular series PARDON THE EXPRESSION. I left off with Series 2 " The Goalbirds" & "The Host with the Most". Those who have seen this series before, what do you think? I find it very middling with the studio audience not helping in anyway.

Not a VT Clock but on January 3rd 1970 we saw the first episode of @bbcdoctorwho  "Spearhead from Space" introducing Jon Pertwee as Doctor Who. Shot on film there is no VT Clock for the story but here is what Lionheart, who distributed the show in the US, got for its master which

How else does one end the holiday viewing but with an exorcism! Tonight, no comedy as I watch DEAD OF NIGHT "The Exorcism" as we close out 2025. Oddly many of the shows I watched this week were broadcast in 1972. #Christmas2025 #DeadofNight #BBC #RadioTimes

Tonight I return to a comedy that I enjoyed and thought was fairly horrid at the same time. I am watching GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART tonight "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" and will maybe enjoy it more because I will be braced for how horrible Gary treats literally everybody.

Tonight for my holiday viewing, I look at two shows that couldn't be further apart: TILL DEATH US DO PART's 1972 episode "Jesus Christ Superstar" andd TO THE MANOR BORN "Christmas at the Grantleighs". I love them both and I remember quite the stir it caused in the early 2000 when

As I am cleaning up the house, I have a fair amount of titles that I have yet to add to my database and place on my shelves. I may need to get more shelves. If you are interested, maybe some day I can do a video about my collection and database. Trust me, it's not a small

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Tonight I feast on what I think is the greatest televised adaptation of Bram Stokers work, the 1977 COUNT DRACULA. This aired around Christmas time and although I misremembered and thought it actually aired on Christmas, it actually aired 22.12.77, this is a

I don't think I can properly convey in words what ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL means to me. Tonight I watched "Merry Gentlemen" and was emotionally taken by how good this episode is on so many different levels. It's literally precious to me. I never tire of it and it's something

Tonight I watch an all-time classic and that is the 1977 BBC production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL with Michael Hordern as Scrooge with simply an incredible cast. Just check out the #RadioTimes listings below. What I find bizarre is that I needed to source this PAL DVD from, I think

This week I continue with my Christmas viewing leading up to Christmas Day with a couple of great shows. First off is ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES with "Christmas Crackers" and it is incredible that the #RadioTimes listing below is the only mention of the show for Christmas in 1981. Of
