In 2022, the Brother Terence McLaughlin Social Justice Institute of Lasallian Practice was established. His life’s work continues to serve as a guiding light for those committed to justice, service, and learning.

Brother Terence didn’t just expand CBHS – he opened doors. In 1963, he welcomed Jesse Turner Jr. as the first Black student, making CBHS the first integrated school in Memphis. Despite resistance, he stood firm, and a lifelong friendship and legacy were born.
