Today's a perfect day for a parade! Well, almost perfect. it's cold enough that you’ll want a quick hot lunch when you are done marching. Prices will be higher at the door, so there's still a benefit to registering in advance if you plan to join us! .

We're two days from the parade! Later today, we will be placing our food order with Friday's. If you plan to attend, we encourage you to register today, so you are included in that order. The event is open to walk-ins, but prices are higher at the door.

The parade is in four days! We hope you will join us for lunch when your time at the parade ends (whether you are a walker in the parade, or an observer). If you do plan to join us please register in advance so we can have food ready for you!.

We can't replace the Turkey Bowl, but we miss it too much to let this Thanksgiving weekend pass without trying to capture that community feeling the TB used to provide!.We hope many of you will join us on Thanksgiving Eve, and will help spread the word.

*GRANT ALERT* When our Bord met last week we approved a grant request of $18,000 to fund the Beyond Broadway dancing program for all 5th graders in the @wplainsschools District. We are proud and excited to fund this popular program again!.

*GRANT ALERT* During our February meeting last night, we approved two grants that we're excited about! We gave $7,500 for a @WPTigerPride Band & Orchestra Trip to Boston in April, and $5,000 for end-of-school year activities of the 8th grade @HighlandsMS_WP. #WPProud.

On Wednesday, we held our first meeting of the new school year, and got right to work! We approved an $18k grant to support a new BEYOND BROADWAY dance residency program for 5th graders in the @wplainsschools elementary schools. Can't wait to see the performances!.

We hope you've all had a great summer, and are ready for a fun event! Scheduled for a few weeks after school starts, this should be a great way to see friends from the @wplainsschools community after the students are back into their academic routines.

As the school year ends, we are proud to have awarded 13 grants for more than $30k to students in @wplainsschools! Congrats to all retiring staff and graduating students! And thanks to our supporters, whose generosity allows us to help support this wonderful school district!.

At our last meeting of the school year, we approved an exciting grant: $5k to fund a "Parent University" program that will be a partnership between @wplainsschools and Andrus! The program will educate parents about managing student stress, anxiety, and social media usage.
