One year ago, we celebrated the completion of the Kenneson & Sanchez Recharge Basins with a ribbon cutting ceremony. At 47-acres in size, these basins recharge an average of 960 AF/yr, helping provide a reliable groundwater supply for nearby growers, residents, and businesses.

DYK Kings River helped grow the Fresno area? Its reliable water supply transformed the landscape to thriving farmland to grow food & fiber for the world. Today, it makes up the majority of FID's water supply for ag irrigation & drinking water, & offers scenic views & recreation.

#Throwback to 1947, when Pine Flat Dam broke ground. Built for flood control, it became a critical water storage facility for irrigation districts. FID and fellow Kings River Water Association members played a key role in advancing the project, securing support from @USACEHQ.
