Yesterday our music department traveled to Kings Dominion with our 7th grade band, orchestra, and chorus to compete in the annual Festival of Music! All three groups performed for judges and earned top ratings of Superior for band and Excellent for both chorus and orchestra!

8th grade World History students used their knowledge of The Renaissance and Leonardo da Vinci to solve puzzles and complete the Breakout activity!

Mrs. Florip's 7th grade Life Science students celebrated Earth Day by studying various Biomes around the world. Students spent the week in the FMS library, researching Biomes and creating posters to display outside the library. Students also created travel commercial videos.

Students in Ms. Wild's Spanish Heritage class already spreak fluent Spanish, therefore this class is focused more on honing their reading and writing skills. They visited the library to pick out books written in Spanish for a book project they will be completing in class!

The Freedom Middle School 8th grade band (with some 7th grade volunteers) earned a rating of Superior from all four judges at their district assessment! Along with the “Superior” orchestra and “Superior” chorus, that means FMS is now an ELEVEN-TIME "Blue Ribbon School of Music!
