11 years on, the pain of the #YezidiGenocide remains. Thousands still live in displacement camps, and around 2,600 Yezidis are still missing. For us, the genocide did not end in 2014. Justice and action to rescue the missing cannot wait #StillMissing #NeverForget

Following the @YezidiGenocide in 2014, many Yezidi religious practices remained suspended for years. In 2018, the Jama Feast and other traditions returned, carrying with them a powerful message of resilience and continuity.

Alarming story from France. Solidarity with our Assyrian friends, who have also suffered in #Iraq and #Syria
A 45 year old, wheelchair-bound Assyrian man from Iraq named Ashur Sarnaya was on TikTok Live and talking about Christianity on his way home in Lyon, France, when an Islamist slit his throat with a machete outside his apartment block yesterday. Not sharing the video. No words.

Even though it has been 24 years since #September11 , American should remain vigilant and alert against terrorism and extremism. Do not shake hands with #AlQaeda ! End.

This matters to ethnic & religious minorities, like the #Yezidi #Yazidi population, #Druze , #Christians , #Kurds, and others. Ten years ago, Islamic extremists committed genocide against our people. We cannot survive under regimes like this.

Today, the Free Yezidi Foundation remembers the #September11 attacks on the #TwinTowers in #NewYork . It was an attack by #AlQaeda against #America . Incredibly, an #AlQaeda member is now the President of #Syria ! Thread from the Middle East - what Americans need to know.

Our last group of students had a meaningful learning experience during their visit to the museum. For many, it was their very first time seeing ancient artifacts - an experience that perfectly sums up a summer full of learning and exploration. @USCGERBIL

Today, we honor the Yezidi people, who endured the 2014 ISIS genocide and continue to be targeted due to their faith. Despite their suffering, discrimination persists. The fight for justice and equality isn't over. We must protect all religious and ethnic minorities in Iraq.
