🏴 Happy St George’s Day 🏴
Let faith be my shield and let joy be my steed
'Gainst the dragons of anger, the ogres of greed.
And let me set free with the sword of my youth
From the castle of darkness the power of the truth.

O Lord, make thy servant Charles our King to rejoice in thy strength: give him his heart's desire, and deny not the request of his lips; but prevent him with thine everlasting blessing, and give him a long life, even for ever and ever. Amen.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
On Sunday 2nd July, by God's grace we had the joy to ordain three men to the Diaconate, to serve within the Free Church of England. It was a tremendous and historical service; a real blessing to witness. May God continue to guide these men on their journey. Hallelujah!

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die...
...Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be.
- Tennyson

Why does Lent last for 40 days? ⌛
The Bible tells us that Jesus spent 40 days in the desert fasting and praying, preparing to begin his ministry. The season is still a time of prayer and fasting for Christians today - in preparation for the joy of Easter.
I extend a warm welcome to all those who have joined the Free Church of England over the past year, whether coming new to the faith, or finding in us a safe, orthodox, episcopal, and liturgical home of Anglican heritage.
