While research investment is a great thing, I will never understand why we can't focus this investment on scientists that are here. I mean have you seen the resources CERCs get? But Carney says "Not enough 🇨🇦 talent" apparently.

Canada needs a Minister with Research in their title. Sectors like aviation, automotive and natural resources are building blocks of Canada that improve economic growth. Science is also fundamental to economic growth, building the future, and has never been more important.

She will be a legendary mentor for students. I cannot recommend working with @YogRunWork enough!
I can now supervise students (Community Health Science, @UCalgary )! I'm looking for Masters or PhD students interested in understanding the substance use treatment system. We will work with PWLE to explain what administrative data shows is happening.

Excellent thread from an v. good & caring doc & colleague in #AB about the recent @Alberta_UCP decision to kill the strategic clinical networks that were once the envy of other #healthcare systems and why you should care. TLDR: it’s not good… #ableg #abpoli
I realize this may be a career limiting 🧵, but hey, somethings are more important. After a year of working as a Senior Med Director of a Strategic Clinical Network in AHS, I need tell you why shutting them down is a big problem. 1/ https://t.co/IbNCvNHcv4

This is a long thread but please read it. By an expert in the field. Here is a short introduction to it. Strategic Clinical Networks(SCN's) were the jewels in the AHS crown. They were one of the things that made AHS best in the world in the area we were. /1
