Millsaps students are distinguished by the range of their talents and interests. Three of our Premier Scholars shared their stories of academic exploration, athletic success, and personal development at last night’s @millsapscollege Founders’ Day event.

Undergraduate research is an important part of the @millsapscollege academic experience. Our students excel at creating new knowledge, whether it’s identifying a new type of scorpion or offering new analysis of classic texts.

Athletics teaches valuable life lessons and allows many students to continue their athletic careers while also pursuing their academic goals. Thank you to the members of the @MajorAthletics Student Athlete Advisory Council for their leadership here on campus.

It was great to see some of our @MajorAthletics women’s basketball first-year players in action on Thursday. This program has a proud tradition of recruiting talented student-athletes who demonstrate excellence on and off the court.

A distinguishing feature of @millsapscollege is its amazing alumni community. Millsaps graduates are leaders throughout the region and have made tremendous contributions to this city and state. Thank you to all the alumni who joined us at last night’s holiday party!

Millsaps' annual Advent Lessons and Carols was a moving experience for all of us who attended. @millsapscollege students showed off their impressive oratorial and musical skills...and brought a tear to more than one eye in the process!

Learning a language is a proven way to sharpen critical thinking and expand creativity as it forces one to expand one's perspective. @millsapscollege Latin Carol Service was a great display of the linguistic excellence of our students and faculty. I was proud to be a part of it!

Houston is home to many @millsapscollege alumni and I was pleased to meet some of them this week. Thank you to Trustee Katherine Brady and her husband Trey for hosting us. We are excited to expand our presence in the Houston area with the addition of a full-time admissions rep!

Yesterday the @MajorAthletics football “Reserves” played Belhaven to a 21-21 tie. Great effort by these young men. Based on what they showed on the gridiron Saturday, the future is bright for Majors football!

It was great to see the @MajorAthletics Mens Soccer team back in action this Fall. If the score is any indication, they seem to like the new turf!
