Shoutout @seangares and @mrfunhaver for outing bad actors even if in different ways. It's a nightmare attempting to navigate this region with good intentions, knowing what goes on bts, and I respect anyone willing to speak out. I will do the same w my vid when the time is right.

Riot has their own set of problems that clearly need fixing but the attitude towards competition in other regions (my personal exp.) has been incredibly different, and I don't believe that we are doing ourselves any favors with the egotistical, internet fame-driven personalities.

There are a handful of places in NA that I would consider working, and that includes Tier 1, assuming I got an offer there. It's a shame that I would rather work in another time zone, even for less money, while finishing university to avoid drama and save my mental.

It's sad that I've felt the need to distance myself from this industry and those involved for the sake of my own health, but it's sadder that I can't speak on wrongdoings and malpractice, in fear of ruining any chance I have in this industry because of those in positions of power.

I haven't been able to post for fear of burning bridges and ruining chances at furthering my career. But know that there is a reason I refuse to work in NA since 2022 (not collegiate), largely having to do with the culture we've created, evidenced by recent leaks and events.

Success is dependent on how you respond to failure and consequence. Lack of action leads to no reaction, which leads to stagnation. If you're scared to act you'll never learn to deal with failure and therefore never succeed. Only you can make yourself successful.

So the game developers will ban you for life cheating in online games, but twitch thinks you only deserve *checks notes* 1-3 days, with an eventual expiry date of that penalty ever existing. Wtf is the point of actions have consequences if you remove the consequences. ?.

Obviously there are other regions I explore options outside of NA, and I it’s largely beneficial to my development as a coach and my career in the long run, but it would take a lot to make me prefer the culture we’ve created back home.

I found myself more mentally stable flipping my sleep schedule while being a university student to work for teams on the opposite side of the world, over dealing with the popularity hierarchy back home. That should say something.

One of the primary reasons I began exploring opportunities within other regions is due to friendship gatekeeping and the massive ego issue within NA. These are the same reasons we consistently fall behind in esports, yet they’re still prevalent.
