Foxx & Inkwell. 29. Queer man. Here 'till the ship sinks. Forgive me for I cannot spell. 18+ to follow, please.

This can be disproven by the simple fact that, regardless of who is topping in a fic, no one has EVER called Spirk "Kock" with a straight face. And before that, the ship was almost always called Kirk/Spock or K/S regardless of who was fucking whom in a given fanwork.
"no one tagged top/bottom back then" because the name said it all, we knew who was topping or bottoming just by the name of the ship, I've been reading fics since the LiveJournal era, everybody did this, even on FFnet people used the correct ship name to KNOW

Thinking of changing my header to a collage of Mr. Kitten McNugget, but I do still love this absolute banger from the YouTube comments section:

More thoughts, a 🧵: On one hand, fanfic is smashing our Barbies together for kicks & giggles. On the other hand, the preexisting ideas about sex & sexual dynamics that we bring w/us into Fandom didn't come from nowhere & it's beneficial to actually self-reflect sometimes. 1/
I am very much on the side of "m/m shipping is not fetishizing gay men," but the way some of y'all talk abt how you can read 100k+words of relationship & character development only to have your experience "destroyed" by the "wrong" character bottoming is starting to cross a line.

Ao3 was created because queer stories were being deleted from other fanfic sites under the auspice of "moral purity." If you can only read about a ship if they have sex a specific way, filter for the tags you want, and don't read untagged fic. It's really quite simple.
u guys are the problem cuz fanfiction was always abt couple dynamics and preferences even ao3 was created because of that? i dont care if the writer makes 10k or 300k, that doesnt make them entitled of anything? i care abt the characters being the way i like? 😭

Apparently, I am illiterate & the nearly two decades I have spent reading & writing fanfiction are magically erased bc I dared suggest that SOME PEOPLE equate t/b to personality & they should CONSIDER unpacking that. I swear some of y'all are allergic to having a single thought.

just saw a very upsetting tweet from a pitt fan acc on my fyp so I just wanted to make sure everyone here knows trans men are men and if they date men that makes them GAY not "het" (same goes for trans women dating women of course) ok thank you 👍

I'm tired of fanfic discourse. Everyone look at how fluffy Mr. Kitten McNugget's winter coat is getting.

Some of y'all refuse to let go of the false belief that all experiences relating to gender adhere to a strict binary. You assume the experiences of trans men MUST be the exact opposite of trans women's, & if what we say doesn't align w/that, we are either lying or attacking you.
c!s women have experienced misogyny, but no trans women have, and that makes them more understanding of men’s experiences. we don’t have to pretend c!s and trans women are identical for trans women to be women. they’re two types of women and have similarities and differences

If you feel like trans men talking about our lived experiences somehow "devalidates" our identities as men, the issue in this scenario is YOU, not us.
@meowcowmoo I feel like saying trans men experience misogyny devalidates their identity as a man
