After living with cancer, Nashville performer Carlos DeFord Bailey died at 66 this week. He did tireless work to promote the story of his Grand Ole Opry star grandfather, DeFord Bailey. I had many visits with Carlos. I wanted to share this in his memory.

.@PaulMcCartney’s set to take The Pinnacle stage tonight! Speaking of Paul...@fristartmuseum just opened an exhibit of his photography from 1963 and 1964. For a local photographer...the exhibit contains an especially personal family connection... https://t.co/bSjGS5gt0N

Fresh off its appearance in my Halloween night story…here’s my jack-o-lantern this year! Little tribute to drive-in movie theaters. Thanks to @McKaysBooks for having a ton of these little cars to sift through. Let’s all go to the lobby…

The Rocky Horror Picture Show arrived in Nashville in the late 1970s, playing at Cinema South. It's been consistently shown on screens in middle TN ever since. For Rocky Horror's 50th anniversary, I wanted to take a look back at the screenings in this area

Let's head to the Sparta Drive-In for the yearly Halloween story! It's about the love of scary movies...but it’s about more than that. It’s about history. Maybe it's about supporting your local businesses. Maybe it's about Killer Klowns From Outer Space. https://t.co/bR94Q0oG2v

Here’s the poll that just went up in the newsroom. Favorite Classic Monsters. I’m a fan of all of these, so, really…there is no wrong answer. However…Team Creature From The Black Lagoon! Who are you rooting for?

The Halloween party look from last night! Louis Creed and Church the cat from Pet Sematary! Side note. Church’s eyes are glow in the dark paint…which apparently has to be charged with light. So. He was doing a headstand into my lamp all day…

First haunt for me this season, and it was great! Millers Thrillers Haunted Woods! Great walk-through that had a ton of set-ups (the haunted saloon, in particular, was a nice touch)…and zombie glow-in-the-dark paintball. Loved the carnival atmosphere. Fun was had by all!

There’s a lot to Will’s story…including the people and a particular organization that have helped him along the way. This is Will’s story from April.

Wanted to share a cool update. A few months ago, I met Will Bell. He was born with cerebral palsy, mostly effecting the left side of his body. At the time, Will was working toward graduation from Nashville School of Law. I’ve just gotten word…Will’s just passed the bar exam!

This Saturday morning! I’m back as emcee for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Rutherford County. Like many of you, I have a personal connection to this disease…and it’s always great to see so many people unified for these events. @MTSU @alzassociation

Drew Struzan just died. For decades, he designed movie posters…and his images really did become pop culture staples. Back To The Future, E.T., The Goonies. I’m barely scratching the surface here. If you can find a list, read it…it’s incredible. A brilliant artist.

AH! This was so much fun. Got to catch Friday the 13th part 3 on a @RegalMovies screen…in 3D! When it came out in 1982, it was the red/blue polarized glasses…but this was a RealD 3D upgrade. Thank you Jason for a lovely evening. Also, the theme remains a jam. @F13thFranchise

We do love a star with Nashville...roots. I just met east Nashville's Jim the Juniper. Jim's person Emily Fay didn't expect to become part of a duo with a celebrity juniper bush with eyes. But...here we are.

Going to the same cemetery every morning, Roger Stewart saw empty vases...and found a calling. He was going to place flowers on hundreds of graves without them. "A lot of them are forgotten," Roger said. "They don't have people to visit. I feel like they need to be remembered."

Oh hi Mark. Met Greg Sestero at @Belcourt’s midnight screening of Tommy Wiseau’s The Room. The audiobook of Greg’s The Disaster Artist used to accompany me on long drives, and I really do love it. These midnight screenings that have sprung from The Room are super fun. SPOON!

It’s been…ahem…a “few” years since I was an @MTSU student. Glad to be back today after I got an invite from Chip Walters to be co-emcee of the MTSU Homecoming Parade (thanks Chip!) I’m actually sporting the shirt I bought on a campus visit when I was a senior in high school.

Got my tix for @TheConjuring! Flash back to a few Halloweens ago when I attempted to be Ed Warren from this series. It was another of those times I thought I was being something people would get, but I just left everyone perplexed. But. Eh. I had fun… #TheConjuringLastRites
