Just noticed something and it’s both a positive AND a negative. See this picture at the bottom with Titus? A boxnought and is that all firstborn marines? That’s so cool…. Only, and I’m sorry that I even know this detail, but the eastern front is supposed to be all primaris…

Finally, and this is a smaller niggle but Uriel Ventris and the 4th company are the Defenders of Ultramar. Their role has been the defence of Ultramar as it was, I’m curious to know what he and 4th are doing during this crusade. I’m hopeful the 500 worlds book explains all this.

My fear is that GW are just going to ignore the previous world building. I hope not but I fail to understand the second companies role when Tetrach Felix of Vespator is Warden of the East and tasked with defending and expanding from Vespator with entire chapters to call upon.

Ultramar is broken up into 5 tetrarchys, North/south/east/west & centre and defended by 10 entire shield chapters with Calgar as Lord over Greater Ultramar as a whole. So with 10,000 space marines and 5 ruling Lords what does Warden of Ultramar even mean?

1st is that Titus will crusade in the east of Ultramar, the Vespator Front. This falls under the remit of the Eastern Terarch, Decimus Felix. Titus’ title of Warden of Ultramar is a reductive one, failing to understand how huge Ultramar is and the purpose of the Tetrarchy system

While I accept I will have to wait to read the 500 worlds Titus books to see I am however getting confused about Titus’ role and I’m hearing a small ringing of trepidation that GW are just beyond caring about consistency in their lore at this point. 1/🧵

Everything you think you know about Sicarius is a lie. I finished reading “Fall of Damnos” today, which I believe is the 2nd story about Cato, his first proper novel after the novella “black reach”. Next is Spear of Macragge. All very topical given Titus’ reveal.

The only thing that makes me happier than getting cool new minis is knowing that there is a tiny percentage of the community that genuinely gets upset when Ultramarines get stuff. I’m eating so good today and it’s all flavoured heavily with salt.

Now maybe it’s just ultramarine collectors that will notice this but that Titus model looks awfully similar to Uriel Ventris. Also the 4th company are known as the defenders of Ultramar and are tasked with defending the wider Ultramar empire. Have GW shelved Uriel and the 4th?

Can we also stop doing this? Space marines do not need to employ trigger discipline, they ARE the weapon.
