We want to thank everybody who have contributed to our community – former staff, Danish and international colleagues, students, administrative support, visiting PhDs, guest researchers, interns… THANK YOU for your generosity and commitment! 5/6

For many of us FREIA has been our academic home throughout our careers. The research environment and collective dynamics at FREIA have fostered an excellent institutional framework in which junior and senior scholars could thrive and develop their research ideas 4/6

We have always pursued a dual aim of applying gender as a separate approach to understanding societal development while also integrating gender into broader social science and humanities 3/6

Throughout the years we have produced interdisciplinary research on gender (in)equality and power dynamics, and provided teaching within the field for BA, MA and PhD students 2/6

As of today, the Center for Gender Research (FREIA) at AAU ceases to exist. The Center was founded more than 30 years ago by some of the pioneers of gender research in Denmark 🧵1/6

The FIERCE project kicks-off! 🎉🎉 Today the FIERCE Consortium had its first meeting to get ready for an exciting 3-year journey! Fruitful conversations with our experienced partners foreshadow a great and promising cooperation.✨ #FierceProjectEu #HorizonEurope
