The good news is from next year, FIFA will introduce a program for MAs to arrange friendlies easily. No more finding opponents here and there and hope for a positive answer. Currently a few MA are the first few clients, next year open to all 211 MA. https://t.co/srsGohll8L

More matches for AFC MAs is good. Raise the standards and more competitive. But did you know that nearly half of MAs are still very depending on grants and yearly stipends from AFC and FIFA every year? Watch the just concluded AFC MA and RA conference. The challenges are there.
✍️ Asia need more international matches! In the last 48 months, AFC is the confederation with 2nd lowest number of competitive matches. My criticism is that with the joint qualification of World Cup and Asian Cup, Asian teams played fewer number of matches compared to others.

Of course, sometimes the federations don't help themselves, they won't take a stand at the AFC to demand better formats. They also won't take up opportunities to play friendlies either. Just look at Pakistan, zero friendlies since June 2023.

This is good to see from the PCB, other sports bodies need to get education as part of their sports curriculum in order to prepare players for life after sport. We are stuck with people so far detached from any kind of education.

@FootballPak In the last three years, I have been further from the govt than most in the opposition. When I shared this, this was a concept, shared by the then Sports and Tourism Secretary, Abid Majeed. Perhaps he can explain as he has been Secretary to CM for two years. Sports facilities

Does anybody at the AFC care about 2nd or 3rd tier national teams? Their qualifying format has been pro top tier nations, the AFC Competitions Committee is dominated by the same nations. Only continent that loves throwing out 1/5 of its members on the first round of WCQ.

Good to see Pakistan futsal team scoring a goal on their international debut. Futsal in Pakistan is largely recreational on turf in our urban centres. Potential to grow, but futsal needs to be properly played on proper surfaces and be more accessible moving forward.

If you gonna quote us then allow us to reply. That was not our official Futsal side. Prob one from those independent futsal orgs that existed. This is the first time actually the PFF has established the National Futsal side.
Isn't your 1st game because this was in 2018 & we weren't as good back then as we are now. 😂
