It's been five years since we lost the one true König der Catcher Karsten Beck. I don't think it'll ever stop to hurt to think about the heartbreaking circumstances of his fight against his untimely death. You'll be never forgotten, Karsten.

When even one of the very few "good" athletic commissions left blatantly ignores the feedback and wishes of the people (fighters) whom it oversees and supposedly protects, it reaffirms that nothing matters anymore. Combat sports regulation is a joke.

Best, most prepared critic of the Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act by far on today's California State Athletic Commission meeting. He was the only one to point out the obvious issue. TKO says they need a UBO, yet they just promoted Canelo vs. Crawford.

The boxing public may pay attention. Maybe. Probably not. Your type of article headline may vary. I tend to focus at the very top rather than the character actors performing and delivering their lines, which TKO officials more or less slept walked their way through today.
