Prop Reveals - Day 8 I am proud to say that I am the new owner of the close-up scale Fergus prop! This is the culmination of my collection and I am insanely grateful to have something like this in my possession. This is certainly an item that I will treasure for life.

I own this prop Fergus face So naturally I had it 3D scanned and then printed a replica because, well, wouldn’t you?

many original A4 whistles were destroyed, but some wound up on traction engines. Why? 🤷‍♂️ Spencer's prop has a bell whistle (story for another time) and so I like to think that if he ever met Fergus he'd be a little immasculated (or whatever train equavalent is) Fun story idea

another fun fact Fergus' whistle is a repitched A4 chime whistle Long story short, A4s had canadian chime whistles pre WWII, replaced with LNER bell whistles in WWII (confused w/ air raid sirens), and replaced again with british replicas that were a half step higher after WWII

Fun little thing I just realized Fergus' model has no whistle! This little gold thing is a safety valve! Furthermore, it's BACKWARD. The arm on the valve's spring should face the rear. This detail was correctly applied on Fergus' model to start and was CHANGED before filming!

I like to complain about eBay sellers a lot, but honestly I had to give a shout out to this one. This listing lies among the very rare resonably priced and good looking eBay Thomas custom. More people should be like this eBay seller.

Thanks to @SudrianManor for helping me with this lot Today I got in a brand new box of unopened Japanese 2013 wooden railway Ferguses These 6 mean that I now have exactly 100 Ferguses in my collection! An impressive milestone I would say.

It was first seen in the Season 7 episode Thomas and the Search for Fergus, where it appeared for one shot. It was used in a multi-shot sequence in the song There Once Was an Engine Who Ran Away. It’s the only motorized Close-Up Scale engine prop. This model was built Season 7.
