Lot of people haven’t heard of Jackson and thus are finding this crazy. No doubt the NHL is changing seeing contracts like this to lesser known guys, but make no mistake.. Jackson LaCombe is a young stud on the blue line.
Another big deal: the Ducks are making Jackson LaCombe the highest-paid player in franchise history. An 8x$9M AAV extension for the talented young defenceman. Ryan Getzlaf, Paul Kariya and Corey Perry had higher AAVs, but this is the most in total dollars.

Frank Nazar is really good. Speed, playmaking, makes plays off the wall, takes advantage of mistakes instantly.... He fits the Hawks identity, should earn even more minutes, and hopefully have a big 2025-26 season.

Breaking Gretzky’s record is amazing by itself but the way Ovechkin did it is otherworldly! 42 goals in 61 games this season at 39 years old. And oh, btw, he broke his leg in the middle of it! Insane!!! One of greatest accomplishments in all of sports history.
