Today in Class 1 we have been developing our fine motor skills by writing in shaving foam. During 'Write Dance' we made different marks in the foam with our fingers to make them strong for writing. We had lots of fun!!!

In Literacy we have been learning the story of 'The Little Red Hen'. We have created story maps, retold the story using actions (Talk 4 writing), made instructions how to make bread and we have baked bread. We are super story tellers in Class 1.🐦📖🍞

Today Ian’s Mobile Farm visited Class 1. We saw and touched lots of different animals such as goats, sheep, lambs, ducklings, hens, guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises and even a sheepdog called Meg! The children loved it was so lovely to experience all the different animals!

🐌 Class 1 have been looking after the caterpillars the snails left in there trail. We have learnt so much about caterpillars and how they transform into butterflies. Next week we will saying goodbye to the butterflies as they will fly away and go on there own adventure! 🦋

We have been learning about the artist Henri Matisse. We have created our own snail collages and listened to the story Matisse's magic shell. Last night a snail came into class one and made us a trail to follow. We followed the clues to a surprise we found baby caterpillars!!

Today class 1 has been celebrating Eid. We have had an amazing time learning about how Eid is celebrated. We have baked, danced and even made Eid cards. What a super day!
