In football, rankings are all the rage, and we’re keeping track of our own standings in the category of “Days at Sea.” During the current fiscal year, @FloridaKeysNMS has logged 226 days at sea, and we remain in NOAA’s top-three for closed float plans. Way to go team!

Say, we just read Brenda Altmeier’s article in the latest edition of Alert Diver magazine, read by more than 200,000 active divers as the widest-circulated dive magazine in the world. Thanks, Brenda for spreading the word about our preservation of #maritimehistory.

The Mission: Iconic Reefs team had to retrieve the temperature data buoy from Looe Key to update a couple of sensors. We’ll have it back on site soon enough. Here’s the link to the real-time data page produced by our buoys up and down the Keys. https://t.co/mpCBCii1iR

Mariners are happy to see our buoy team at work on iconic sites of the Florida Keys, but especially if their vessel is taking on water. The RV Leatherback arrived to aid this listing vessel at Sand Key, calling in the Coast Guard and SeaTow, and making sure everything was safe.

For millions of moms, the grocery bill is one of the biggest strains on the family budget. President Trump has the opportunity to fine-tune tariffs in a way that lowers grocery bills, keeps more profits in the hands of American farmers, and secures U.S. manufacturing jobs!

An anchor from the 1733 historic Coffins Patch wreck is now featured at our Eco-Discovery Center atrium in Key West. ⚓️ The anchor is part of a collection of artifacts illegally recovered in 1992 after the establishment of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
