Okay folks, the time has come. I’ve just been lurking here, but I keep getting tweets promoted to me by the system that are disgusting. Rowling, Musk, Vance, the like. This app is increasingly hostile towards this queer, disabled woman. I am headed for greener pastures.

Person: I really do not believe that so many need “service animals”. Me: I really do not believe that negative and ableist remarks like yours are needed. But here we are. 🤷🏼♀️

Well, she’s clean, but angry. 😂 it’s plenty warm enough out for bathing (74°), but she hates peasant baths with a garden hose. She wants her baths in a nice, walk in shower with hot water. Spoiled girl! She cooperates, despite her distaste for the process.

Flirty woke me up at 5:15 being rather restless. We got up for two hours, now I’m bribing her with hay pellets so she will be quiet and let me go back to sleep. 😂

Another troll on Instagram is claiming Flirty is mistreated because she lives in the city. Ah, yes, look how abused she is! Napping in the soft carpet while it storms outside.

Gear can be conservative or loud and obnoxious colors or cutesy or whatever the handler wants. There is no such thing as “professional.” It’s just a made up thing to police other handlers with.

“That gear is unprofessional.” - Person on Instagram commenting on other people’s service dog gear. Me: Being disabled isn’t a profession, so… 🤷🏼♀️ Seriously, it irks me when people say service animal gear has to be “professional.”

I just did some research, it was built in 1987, so shortly before the ADA became law. Ugh.

I’m pretty sure she didn’t realize there weren’t accessible bathrooms before the lease was signed. And she doesn’t mind holding Flirty for me. But it just boggles my mind! I’m sure the building was built after 1990…

How do buildings these days get away with not having accessible bathrooms??? I had to ask my therapist to hold Flirty for me so I could use the bathroom after my therapy session today, because there are no accessible stalls.

“Hai Mam! I see you have pizza for lunch. Did you know that I, too, like pizza?” - Flirty This naughty girl clearly forgot her manners! I had to remind her we don’t beg in this house, no matter how cute we may be. (After snapping a photo, of course 😂)

We had to go investigate this plastic bag in my therapist’s waiting room that normally isn’t there. Flirty’s too self-controlled to spook at it, but she was standing next to me and snorting at it until we went over to make sure it wasn’t a horse-eating bag. 😂😂😂

I have successfully ignored the clock in my car being off by one hour for long enough that the time has changed again, and my clock is once again right. Is this a superpower? 🤣

After missing several days in a row due to poor weather, I just went for a walk. Hopefully I can get back to going most days. I have 12 days until comicon! Gotta keep building my stamina back up after the flu wiped me out.

Seriously, people. Service horses are WONDERFUL. They are life changing. But they aren’t for everyone. If you can’t lift 50 lb bales of hay/bags of feed, you’re going to really struggle with one. If you live in an apartment, they probably aren’t a good solution for you. Etc.

Me: I wouldn’t recommend a service horse for you because of XYZ. Him: *buys weanling to train anyway* Four months later: Him: I’m gonna have to rehome my baby because of XYZ. 😭 Me: *under breath* If only someone had tried to tell you! 🙄🙄🙄

In today's "Silly Flirty" news, I just had to rescue her from being locked in our bedroom. She closed the door on herself and had to start whinnying to summon me to let her out. 🤣
