We have been out all night salting the main scheduled routes and will continue to salt and patrol all routes throughout today. We have teams in town centres clearing snow and keeping footways clear.
Household Waste & Recycling Centres are closed until further notice. Travelling to these sites to dispose of waste is not a valid reason to leave your homes. Employees at these sites will be redeployed to support other key waste collection services at this time

In response to the desperately tragic situation faced by the Afghan people, the Council is working with governments and local partners and is locating suitable accommodation to place people impacted by the crisis.
Don’t forget - even though summer play schemes have ended – ‘Share your lunch’ is still running at play scheme locations at the usual times. Make sure your child still comes along and doesn't miss out!

Due to weather & disruptions to WASTE COLLECTIONS, Christmas collection arrangements have been brought forward. From Mon 18 Dec black bin, food & recycling will be collected weekly. For areas missed at the w/end or today black bag side waste will be collected next week.
Our Gritters are completing the primary gritting routes with some delays due to congestion on the network. Where resources allow we are now attending priority 2 routes and clearing footpaths in town centres.
