With today being closing day of the 2025 live season we thank our horsemen and women, team members, and great fans for a terrific 2025 live racing season. Pending NY Gaming approval live racing will resume in late April.

Race seven on the closing day program was named in memory of longtime Finger Lakes trainer Edward Babcock. A group of family and friends assembled in the Ross Morton winner circle to remember Longshot Eddie as he was affectionately called.

The 2025 live season comes to a close with Tafaany rallying through the stretch to gain her maiden victory for owner/trainer Dana Saul and rider Steven Fret.

The closing day feature, run over a sloppy racetrack, went to Crescendo's Rein. The well-bred son of Not This Time wore down the front running Blamicker in deep stretch for the win. Reylu Gutierrez was in the irons for trainer Charlie Baker and owner Happy Face Racing Stable.

It was a riding triple on the Tuesday program for Reylu Gutierrez.

Talk about grit and determination. Race seven winner East Coast Girl, involved in an early speed duel, digs in and holds sway for his seventh lifetime Finger Lakes win in just his ninth Finger Lakes start. John Berrios gets the victory for trainer Katlynn Gutterson.

There will a few anxious moments but odds-on favorite Rubys Mission rallies through the stretch for her third lifetime victory in race four for owners Peter Colon & Emilio Serrano and trainer Luis Gutierrez. Reylu Gutierrez was in the saddle.

The Monday nightcap was another thriller between the Awaiting Trial and the #9 gigantic longshot (41-1) Burning Munny. At the line it was Burning Munny who upsets returning $85.48. Naz Alvarado was in the saddle for trainer Thalia Areche. The Late Pick 5 comes back huge $22,241.

Race six was another close finish as it was the #6 By Mink Standards, making his fourth career start, who surges lates for to notch his first career win. The 2-year-old son of By My Standards is owned and trained by Patrick Baratta and was ridden by Joel Cruz.

They were noses apart in race fifth and the photo showed the horse in the middle, #7 The Delaware Boyz, who gets the narrow victory for Clear Stars, Mitre Box and Big Toes stables. Kevin Navarro with the win for trainer Jon Buckey.

The race day comes to an end with 15-1 shot Practical Rachel closing up along the inside to spring the $32.28 upset for owner/trainer IImar Loaiza and rider Oscar Gomez. The Late Pick 5 returns $752.82.

It was a sweep of the early Daily Double for jockey Luis Perez. Luis takes the opener with She's Grand ($4.66) and race two with Sky Runner ($7.48). The Perez 6-6 Daily Double returns $14.06.
