We're announcing RedM for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, to be launched around a month from the PC release (definitely in time for the holiday season!), assuming no crazy DRM obstacles.

⚠️ Breaking info:
The 'QuantV' graphics mod for GTA V (which also offers a version for FiveM) has been claimed to contain code to remotely wipe files (in case of remote admin decision?)
Initial investigation shows these claims are correct.
Developing story, more updates soon.
For what it's worth: we're not shutting down, nor were we hacked.
With the ever-increasing workload, however, it's again proving difficult for our dev lead to work on the project, eventually leading to 'this'.
Our team is still looking for ways to help them with this burden.
RedM is out! You can download the latest Milestone 2 build from starting now.
More info, updates and hopefully bug fixes coming later this month. Time to get rolling, server owners!
Just an FYI since people seem to not realize:
FiveM is not backed by a company with 100+ employees.
In fact, FiveM is not backed by a company at all.
There's less than 1 FTE equiv. working on the core project.
Everyone else's volunteering.
Keep this in mind when complaining.
Support for the latest title update, GTA Online: The Chop Shop, is now available for testing on our canary branch.
Update your platform server to version 7255 or higher to test it on your FiveM server!

Starting the year off with a bang! Last week, FiveM surpassed the previous concurrent player record, reaching 300k and above. A big shout out to our incredible community for helping us continue to grow — let's keep it going! 🎉🚀
Fun fact: FiveM works perfectly fine with GTA V obtained from the Epic Games Store, including the *free* promotion running right now. Get it if you need it!

Some people might be experiencing issues after we had to do an emergency push of the WIP master state due to R* service changes.
Please stay calm, and actually think and have patience for a second. Report issues you're having with information, we'll fix this somewhen soon.
We are aware of the issues while connecting to FiveM servers and are currently working on it.
We've enabled connection buckets to mitigate the load. Waiting time will be gradually reduced for everyone once our infrastructure recovers.
Howdy partner! The long awaited release of OneSync for RedM is here! Play with even more cowboys now. Read the full announcement for this technical preview:
Regarding the QuantV situation: we may end up adding code to FiveM to block loading (and recommend removal) of affected versions of this modification, depending on the response of the author.
To be precise, the offending code is in the 'QuantV.asi' file, which contains oddly obfuscated strings that, among other things (still to be investigated), runs `rmdir` on an enumeration of drive letters.
5 years ago today, the first commit enabling GTA V support in the CitizenFX framework was made.
Many perils and ownership changes later, the FiveM project is still going strong.
Thanks to everyone who's stood by the codebase and project in this timespan!
We've broken the threshold of 100,000 concurrent players on FiveM today. Exact numbers to follow soon.
This ought to make us the first GTA MP platform ever to reach 100k concurrent players. Yay! 🎉
We're aware of issues while trying to connect to servers. We're currently investigating and are doing our best to resolve this situation as soon as possible.
Our apologies for the inconvenience.
In addition to existing platforms supported by RAGE,
#RDR2PC
also shows support for Prospero (PS5) and NX64 (Nintendo Switch) architectures, platform keys of 'p' and 'n' respectively.
Do note the Vita had also appeared, but no RAGE game ever shipped on it.
Between the transition from Project Λ to FiveM in January 2017 and today, we've seen a total of 10 million registered Social Club accounts on FiveM. 🎉
Even discounting duplicates, that's a lot of users!
Hi
@discord
👋 We've hit our 500k member cap over two weeks ago, and our cap increase request has not seen a reply since. New users are unable to join our server and missing out on information. Could you let us know when we can expect a member cap increase?
Apparently
@Cloudflare
deactivated us (completely dropping DNS proxying) with no prior warning email/notifications for 'Plan limits ...' but can't see the full message.
We are also not aware of any 'plan limits' existing at all.
This might take a *long* time to resolve.
Guess which GTA V modification project has reached over thirty-five thousand (35,000) concurrent players today?
Nope, not any of the snail-lacking competition - just us, plain old FiveM. Sad, right? 🙁
From a simple traffic stop to an incredible stunt feat, anything can turn into a story to tell!
What have you recently experienced in FiveM or RedM that you will never forget?
Sorry! We've encountered issues with some services. Everything should be resolved by now and we have activated buckets to even out the load.
Thank you for your patience and have fun!
We're still working on the port to build 2372 (mptuner DLC), this is taking longer than expected for two reasons:
1. Rockstar changed a lot of things in this release compared to previous releases.
2. We'd prefer to ship something working rather than a bugfest option.
We're hard at work finishing up RedM for a general availability alpha release - a large step has been made by merging the feature branch back into master.
Watch out for a more broadly available release soon, or join and see
#redm
-hello for a preview.
Got an email from
@Cloudflare
claiming something about 'hosting video/audio files'. Checking dashboard indeed shows a 5x increase in cached bandwidth usage (brief spike, probably users 'reinstalling' due to some issue?)... but blocking a *paying* customer with no advance warning?
We ran an initial test for OneSync "Infinity" today, reaching up to 230 connected players (but it probably could handle more!) using a new sync mode without population/AI that virtualizes players so there can be a *lot* more slots.
Stay tuned for more updates.
We acknowledge the fact that the updater service briefly distributed Paintbrush from Windows NT 3.51 for two 30-minute periods today.
Similarly, we acknowledge that blocking access to the game shouldn't happen, and measures have been put in place to prevent this in the future.
Update to former tweets: Many users are hitting an issue in recent NVIDIA drivers when trying to run FiveM. Let's explain what's going on and why we looking for the help from
@nvidia
to diagnose and resolve the issue.
Continuing in thread.
We've been hard at work on supporting the new Criminal Enterprises update in FiveM, and are expecting to release initial support for it within the next 24 hours, once internal validation is completed.
Here's a quick look:
Repeating since this rumor seems to spread:
FiveM has NOT been hacked.
The Rockstar sign-in prompt is one you get when your sign-in ticket expires, such as during a CF firewall event.
You also got it the first time you opened FiveM.
Remember: if you're not in the US, don't *ever* submit a DMCA counter-notice to any US firm, it will make you subject to getting sued in the US (jurisdiction requirement).
We're fine, someone else however may not be.
FiveM client/server builds 4267 or above now support using `sv_enforceGameBuild tuner` to enable the 2372 (Tuner DLC) game build.
This support will hit production during next week's cycle if all signals are on green.
Since people are asking 'why was there a rickroll if you weren't hacked??', here's the relevant code for the rickroll.
Nothing to do with any 'being hacked'.
We've published a new production release for FiveM/RedM today containing a few bug fixes and small features.
Check out the changelog page in game for a full list!
To fix Steam authentication issues, please update your FXServer installation to version 1618 or above, and manually set a Steam API key as mentioned in the server setup docs.
It seems Valve started enforcing per-API-key rate limits. This wouldn't have happened w/ an AppID... :/
Lights! Camera! ..Snap! Everyone enjoys some nice virtual photography. Let's see some today!
Have you got a fancy FiveM photo to share? Don't be shy, let's see it!
