Going to the gym and lifting heavy gives me an incredible high. Once you’re addicted to that high, you’ve just unlocked being healthier than 99% of your peers for the rest of your life.

I’ve noticed ZERO health fall off after turning 40. I’m in better shape than I was at 30. I lift heavier. Just as energetic. When you stay active, age is just a number.

Want to really test your strength? Do pull-ups instead of lat pulldowns. I can guarantee that’ll humble you real damn quick.

All people need to do is eat primarily whole foods, lift weights 3x a week, and walk 8,000 steps a day. And most won't even attempt ONE of those things. And that's why it's so easy for gym-goers to walk around the grocery store as the best-looking person there.

0% of people fail to improve their lives by resistance training 4x a week, getting 0.8g of protein for every pound of body weight every day, and walking 10,000 steps.

Forced to choose between cardio and lifting for life? I’m lifting. Cardio adds years. Strength training makes those years worth living.

Living in a warm and sunny climate all year is a cheat code that will improve your health, fitness, and entire lifestyle. Snow and cold are highly overrated.

It’s true that losing weight is 10x slower than gaining weight. But it also makes it 100x more satisfying once you do it.

Being healthier than 90% is easy. Lift 3 to 4x a week, progressively overload, track protein/sleep/steps, sleep well, then repeat for years.

Eating a bowl of cereal in the morning is like beginning your day with dessert. Most cereals are full of sugar and have absolutely ZERO nutritional value. If you care about your health, start your day with a protein bomb.

It's nuts that just working out 3x a week and not eating like an undisciplined moron will make you look better than about 98% of people.

To me, walking isn't "cardio." Instead, it's the most basic activity one can do if they have functional legs and take their mobility seriously. It's more about being human than getting exercise. 8,000 steps a day, minimum.

Taking a 10 to 15 minute walk after a meal drastically reduces blood glucose and helps digestion, which is a highly impactful and free way to lose weight, and keep it off. Do it. No exceptions.

If you’re over 40, weight training is not optional. It’s required. Unless significant muscle loss sounds like a good idea to you.
