This month we visited @CAI_Haverhill & listened to students present on their goals for the future. The 6-week boost #ESOL class is funded by a #grant from First Literacy. The class is for students who have been on the waitlist for a long time (some for two years!). #grantfunding

Last night we celebrate the life & legacy of Karen Morrissey, a former First Literacy board member, donor, leader, & advocate. During a special gathering we honored Karen by renaming the First Literacy Professional Development Workshop space the Karen M. Morrissey Workshop Room.

Guyliano is from Haiti where he built a successful career as a manager in the Maritime Authority. With the #scholarship from First Literacy he plans to pursue a bachelors in Operations & Logistics Management at Indiana Wesleyan University. #firstliteracyscholar
