Added an SBA center to work in a small group doing just SBA and IAB questions

The room was so dark today they were pretending to have a math slumber party in our math forts🤣🤣🤣 honestly didn’t even care because they were so engaged!!!

Getting ready for intervention tomorrow and having the students work on their goal setting!

Our multicultural “Passport Around the World” night was so much fun!! I tried to match my board🤣 I especially loved everyone decorating sardines 🐟🐟🐟

Our first day in “horizontal spaces” was pretty nice! We are working on building up our math talk and mathematical thinking, while giving each other feedback on their thinking. They did well for their first try. Next time, they’ll be challenged with my DOK questioning!!!

For a restorative, we played a quick game called “six seven”

We earned some free time today and for a structured activity, we made math graffiti fences! They were pretty creative!

Open house tonight!

For Constitution Day, we created our own class constitution

Ok I was desperate for a trophy of sorts to put on the winning table. Little glue and a toy goat and voilà!

Made some math toolkits and I think they came out kinda cute! And handy!

Our first Starbucks Friday was a success! A little ambient lighting and music. Students eating their snacks while we did math work. I even wore an apron! The tablecloths could be better next time. And I’ll include some floral centerpieces!

I’m gonna try open house stations and a scavenger hunt this year!!! Hoping to get the kids excited for math!

For classroom jobs, I’m gonna try putting them in a photo album to create a classroom jobs book. Cuz this is a LOT! Hope it works!
